Techiman Eleven Wonders FC secured their 2nd win in the Ghana Premier League at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium with a 2-0 victory over Basake Holy Stars on Friday, January 9, 2026.
Two second-half goals from Munah ensured that Eleven Wonders added to their points and elevated their hopes of surviving relegation, ushering the rest of the matches into the second round.

Basake Holy Stars had several chances to bury the game in the first half, but lacked the needed finishing.
3 minutes into the second half, Rauf Munah found the back of the net as he received a through pass from Kofi Asamoah.
Just when Holy Stars pushed for the equalizer, Eleven Wonders turned defense into attack, and Munah made no mistakes, burying he second goal on the 52’, as Moses Author failed to clear a pull-out from Desmond Acheampong.

It was all joy for Emmanuel Aidoo’s side, who now have 9 points but remain bottom, 9 away from 17th place Hohoe United, as Holy missed other chances to get back on level pegging.

“We did not get the win on a silver platter. Holy Stars had the first half and could not utilize their chances, and we got the second half and made use of it.” Says Coach Emmanuel Aidoo.
“It feels great to win, but we are not swollen-headed, because there are more hurdles to clear.” He added
Eleven Wonders had picked 4 points away from Holy Stars, as the Techiman-based team picked their first point of the 2025/26 season at Basake, with a goalless draw game at the Ampian AAK II Sports Arena on September 14, 2025.
For the Head Coach of Holy Stars, Evans Augustine Adotey, he needs calmness in resolving the attitude of the players.
“These boys and their attitude before a match and after training are obvious. So, I was there to psyche them up, because if I do not do that to alert them of their lapses, they will go astray”
Holy Stars are now 14th on the table with 20 points, 2 away from the drop.

Eleven Wonders’ only other victory in the Ghana Premier League was a 2-0 match day 12 encounter against Dreams FC on December 1. Eleven Wonders had then traveled to secure their 3rd draw, a 1-1 result against Hohoe United.
Their only other point picked was against Karela United, a 0-0 week six fixture at the UG Sports Stadium on October 20, 2025. They had, however, lost 2-3 to defending champions Gold Stars on match day 17, wrapping up the first round.

Eleven Wonders will next travel to Kpando to face Heart of Lions on Sunday, January 18, before welcoming Accra Hearts of Oak at Legon on January 25 for their week 20 tie.
